A little something out the Yard...

By Cedric Pendleton

I planted something in honor of the gardening my grandmother would make me do as a child, which is now a major part of my life. It’s almost second nature. Here are a few images of the items that you can find right outside my door. Food that is picked fresh has a different flavor on your palate.

Salad Ingredients:
3 Fresh Chard Leaves
1 Broccoli Leaf
A small handful of Mixed Greens
A small handful of Dandelions
Sunflower Seeds
1 Cucumber Diced
1 Red Pepper
1 Green Pepper
½ White Onion
Sundried Tomatoes to taste
Wasabi Peas to taste
Oil & Vinegar & Honey Mustard Dressing

Make the Salad:
In a bowl, mix all the salad ingredients and dressing – and toss until well mixed.
Place salad on plates and enjoy!
